Hi, Growing up in Broward county, Florida in a household that spoke both Spanish and English, surrounded by many others who share a similar heritage, I felt comfortable with my identity. When I moved to a predominantly white institution for college, I struggled to find that same community, one that supported and empowered me, until I was exposed to a summer research program full of like-minded and culturally-diverse individuals. The MARC program at my home institution gave me an opportunity to pursue research throughout the academic year and ultimately gave me the foundation and confidence to apply to the MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP). Now I am a Pod Leader and a Research Supervisor to MSRP interns where I am grateful to be able to share my experience and shape the next cohort of MIT graduate students. To begin the process, please fill out the form above and we’ll contact you with more details about MIT’s leading graduate programs. We hope you’ll join us soon!
Sincerely,
